About
I am an AI engineer and Python developer with experience in data analysis, research, and urban innovation. My career has evolved across multiple domains, allowing me to develop a holistic understanding of how data transforms into actionable knowledge. Currently, I focus on creating AI tools with particular emphasis on agentic workflows and information retrieval systems that deliver complete solutions—from data acquisition to real-world applications.
AI startups #
I’ve worked with multiple tech startups across London and Prague, where I specialised in computer vision and natural language processing projects, developing customised models and data pipelines. Even before the LLM era, I leveraged neural networks and transformer architecture for intelligent data extraction from documents and content classification systems.
I also served as a data analysis coach at Multiverse, a British ed-tech unicorn, teaching prompt engineering and machine learning fundamentals.
Research & innovation #
As the founder of Medialab Katowice, I built a thriving innovation community in my city. I led several data-driven research projects, including the Creative Europe-funded Shared Cities: Creative Momentum platform, which explored emerging urban trends across Central Europe.
My work involved collaborations with Goethe Institute, Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, and Warsaw Museum, focusing on novel approaches to urban data analysis. This collaborative research resulted in multiple data-visualisation exhibitions like Data for Culture and my 2015 publication, Data-Driven Methods for City Research and Exploration.
Academic background & teaching #
My academic credentials include a PhD focused on the economics of perception and information overload—themes I further explored in my book Data Culture: Attention-Enhancing Algorithms (in Polish). I shared my expertise through lecturing positions at the University of Silesia, Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
I also participated in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program and contributed to the Building City Dashboards project as a visiting researcher at Maynooth University’s National Centre for Geocomputation.
